Jasper is a stage director based in London who directs exciting new work and contemporary plays.

He is also the Artistic Director and Co-Founder of the award-winning company Caged Bird. His production of Neon won The Stagedoor Audience Favourite Award in 2018. Most recently, he directed The Nuclear Plays, which sold out the Drayton Arms Theatre in March 2020.

Jasper graduated with an MA in Theatre Directing from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2019. He is currently developing two new monologues, a musical, and is a photographer outside the rehearsal room.

"Stories are crucial. They unite us, exercise our empathy, and inspire us to grow beyond where we're planted. As an audience member, I have felt all of these in a theatre. As a director, I hope to give these experiences to the next person.

My work is all collaboration, and always aims to ask questions both onstage and in the rehearsal room. I care about supporting others in producing their best work, and tailoring my approach to build the best version of a story that is a combination of every voice in the room.

I am especially interested in stories that implicate the audience and achieve things only live performance can. We all love the classics and archetypes (you know, where characters argue onstage about marriage and the price of port), but every now and then we deserve to be addressed."
