"Who will believe thee, Isabel? My unsoil'd name, the austereness of my life, my vouch against you, and my place in the state, will so your accusation overweigh"

The Duke of Vienna has supposedly vanished, imposing the office upon Lord Angelo. Coming down hard upon the decadence in Vienna, Angelo condemns Claudio to die for getting a woman not yet his wife with child. His sister, Isabella, appeals to the new Duke for his pardon, but is proposed an insidious bargain for his freedom.

Steering into the status of a 'problem play', this production drew from a post-MeToo era as an exploration of corruption and abuse of power.
